The Ignition Racing Team electric (IRTe) is a student association that was founded in 2006 and has participated in Formula Student events every year since then. The Ignition Racing Team consists of around thirty-five students from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences from the fields of automotive engineering and economics.
The team has been building electric cars since 2011 and is currently working on an autonomous racing car so that it can also take part in the Formula Student Driverless Cup in the 24/25 racing season.
